 Pricey for the quality Jan 13, 2011

We purchased this after the stock one's that came with the gondola set reached their end of life. Inflated it at the grocery store flower arrangements place. Sealed it according to instructions (was disappointed that the "valve" was nothing more intricate than the valve that comes with decorative/party balloons which are only designed to stay inflated a day or so. The valve is basically a press-to-seal type. Well it took 2 days and this thing had already lost enough air to be unsightly. The first ones that came stock lasted about 10 days fully inflated. Since these were more expensive, I expected more from them, such as slightly thicker material and an non-leaking or 1-way valve. Considering the quality, I think they should come in a box of 3 for the same price. Should come with replacement tail fins also.
Bottom line? These balloons have about the same quality level as all the other off-shore manufactured toys and other goods we silly consumers keep buying over again. Problem is, I don't see we have a choice to buy anything better. For the price, I'd score these a 1, only because 0 doesn't technically qualify as a valid score.

This purchase was a replacement nylon blimp for the one that I overfilled to the point of exploding on Christmas day. No fire... everybody is OK. Great Toy.. it takes time and patience to get it ready for flight. For this replacement the Amazon ad read free shipping that for some reason we didn't recieve.

Good quality and hard to puncture. I am curious how you release the old air from the blimp to refill with fresh helium.

This is a great replacement balloon for the r/c blimps. Mine has been flying for about a month. Yes it has lost air but its a helium balloon, what do you expect. I take it to my local grocery store and they fill it back up with helium for $1.

We had this Mach RC airship 2 years ago for Christmas and everyone loved it (adults and teens). It flew around our house many times and at all hours. I had to watch out for it . The helium finally gave out. I ordered a new balloon envelope this year but it had a hole in it so I couldn't fill it. Next best thing was to reorder another one. We did this at the last minute (got credit for ruined one) and was happy with the result. Thanks for everything Amazon!
