Have returned 3 of them. Eventually, the tail rotor stops spinning hard enough and all the thing does is spin out of control! Dec 31, 2009
By S. Porter

The havoc starts out with enough fun. But the quality has gone down from last year's models. We bought new ones this year - as our old ones lasted a year. This time, both of them eventually had the same problem: the tail rotor motor starts slowing down - causing uncontrollable spinning. We've cleaned the hair from the tail motor, replaced the tail rotor, trimmed as far as it will trim. Apparently, the new motor on the back this year fails quickly. Also, we got one that had a bad controller. You get what you pay for. [...] helicopter may last you one day or one month. Make sure you save the boxes & buy from a store that will let you return anything without hassles - and don't buy on online!! You'll have to ship it back.

Lots of fun Dec 29, 2009
By S. Power I bought this toy for my "daughter" for Christmas. My husband has really enjoyed playing with it. It's too difficult for my five year old to handle on her own however, he can have her do one side of the controls while he does the other and they have a marvelous time flying this mini-helicopter in the house. It comes with extra rotors and the battery lasts for ten minutes which is long enough to have a great time playing and flying. My husband and my daughter rammed it into the wall and ceiling several times with no damage to the wall.
Do be sure to keep the helicopter away from anything that could get tangled in the rotors (like hair).

Instant Land Fill. Broke within 5 minutes of use. In the old trash can... Apr 10, 2010
By Daddy B Me I got two of these and both lasted about 8 minutes combined. Tail rotor snaps off and throw the whole toy in the trash can. No replacement parts. Designed not to last and these fly terribly. The go up and spin around in circles....INSTANT LANDFILL>>>>>

Flying fun Dec 31, 2009
By Beth E. Settje My 12 year old son got a different brand helicopter for Christmas which costs about $30. It never really flew correctly, so we decided to try one more time and get hime an Air Hog, as the reputation and reviews were more positive than not. So I went to the store and bought one that was on the shelf for $35 and brought it home, only to find out I had picked up a $25 item. Oh no, did I cheap out and will it not fly like the other?
Happily, it flies really, really well. Both my son and his father are having lots of fun with it. Flying, landing, going straight or in circles, are all mastered fairly quickly. A great birthday gift for a child 8-13 who likes remote control items that do more than just drive up and down on the floor. Younger than that may need help from an adult. If it is flown into a wall, it will likely break, so the user must be responsible enough to not abuse it. It flies from room to room, holds the charge for about 10 minutes, and the user can really develop some skill at manuevering it in the air. I do recommend it.

More fragile than it should be ... Dec 30, 2009
By Debbie C My husband and I had a "flying helicopter" last year that broke, so we bought this one to replace it. My 5 yr old daughter had been talking about it so this was another present for her. My 12 yr old nephew also got one as a present so they went to the park with the hubby to try it out. We figured the open spaces would be better for a flying toy than confined to a house. The feedback from the group was that it was a lot of fun, but one of the blades on my nephew's helicopter broke ... not sure from a collision or what. The manufacturer should include extra parts for these small "hiccups". Also, when my husband tried to call the company to inquire about replacement parts (we were willing to purchase them), he was advised to buy a whole new unit. That doesn't sound very customer service oriented to me, especially for a product that is destined to need replacement parts.
