Coolest RC Toy I've Played WIth Jan 01, 2009
By Chris Rea I bought an Air Hogs Reflex for my son on his birthday. It's an awesome little toy. I had several RC cars growing up and this is way more fun.
First, let me say that it is very durable. We've crashed it many times without any damage. The propeller blades are jointed at the hinge, so they give when they come into contact with something. We've even broken a blade or two off the hinge and easily snapped it right back into place. It also comes with a pair of replacement blades should you need them.
It's easy to operate, though it takes a while to get a hang of the controls precisely. I was extremely surprised at how powerful and maneuverable it is. The battery, when fully charged, will last you about 10-15 minutes, and will recharge sufficiently within half an hour. You'll know when the battery's drained because you start to lose altitude and maneuverability.
My only complaint is that you have to adjust the trim (gently turn a little knob on the top of the propellers) to stabilize the rotation of the helicopter body fairly often. It's nice to be able to adjust it, but so far it's been hard for us to make this precise and maintain it for very long. By the time you get it right, you're almost out of power. I'm sure as we get better steering (and not crashing) the helicopter, we'll have a lot less adjustment and more fun.
Overall a great toy, even though I think it's priced a little high. Still, it's entirely worth it in my opinion. I'm asking for one for my birthday!

kids review of this helicopter Dec 29, 2008 This little helicopter can take a powerful punch i have crashed many times and still hasn't broken.
The only problem is battery life is very low once its is out it will just fall out of the sky.The charger is also a piece of crap there are these little plastic things that help keep the charger in the helicopter those broke after 30 seconds so every once in a while you have to check if it is still charging. It is very easy to fly once u have perfect trim(which is really easy to maintain).
1 last thing DO NOT get the harvoc heli even though it is cheaper it sucks. i got both helicopters for xmas i had the harvoc for 30 min and it broke so bad you CANNOT replace it. I still have the reflex long after xmas

Flys great. Charge time is a little long compared to other Air Hogs(up near an hour) and flys 10-15min per charge. Lots more power than other Air Hog heli's. A bit more challenging to fly. Still a TOY, NOT the most precise control, but very fun to fly. Durabilty is good, crashed it a hundred times, have broken one blade(comes with a complete set of spares) All in all, highly reccommended.
Get the Havoc Heli Jun 30, 2011
By MattM You would think this "upgraded helicopter would be more controllable than the smaller havoc. Not so, it is very hard to control, the forward and reverse thrust fans are very underpowered, overall I felt like it was a complete waste of money.
Fun but delicate..... Oct 02, 2009

OK this is a really fun toy Helo for sure but I went through 3 in a mater of 2 weeks due to the counter balances breaking. The blades are VERY tough and do take quite the beating but the counter balances do not and once they break you are DONE! You can see the counter balances in the photo(long plastic rod with plastic coated weight on the end) of the toy they are made of plastic and ARE not replaceable. They are molded onto the main rotor assembly so if they break so is the Helo. Other than that this little toy is FUN! But not so durable; kinda loud too! If you need an idea of how loud look them up on you tube there is no shortage of vids of these helos
