Alpha 40 ARF Trainer Oct 22, 2010
By Tim The Alpha .40 ARF Trainer is a good beginning RC airplane. It is covered with Ultra Cote, a quality covering material that can be found in most hobby shops, if and when repairs are needed. I would recommend reinforcing the firewall with tri-stock. I wish that the tail surfaces were constructed from build-up balsa rather than solid balsa...it makes the tail very heavy, requiring extra weight up front. The stabilizer was also warped and, after trying multiple times to straighten it, finally gave up. The airplane is attractive and well designed.
