4Great boat if you modify some things!  Oct 11, 2011 By Houpie
If you want to sail in 5 mph+ winds then you must add lead tape to keel ballast and lead fishing sinkers to stern of boat. I bought lead tape from Golsmith and sinkers from Walmart. Take 6-7 inch strips and apply lengthwise to keel ballast (be generous and make the ballast look like a silver bullet). Add more tape if needed until you get the right weight for decent sailing and handling. Pour 2 small bags of small to medium size sinkers inside rudder steering compartment and add a generous amount of 5 min epoxy. Mix sinkers and epoxy then tilt boat backwards and allow mixture to set as far back as it can in the compartment. Try not to get epoxy on rudder shaft, I used a butter knife to arrange sinkers and glue. This keeps the bow of the boat from submarining in heavier wind. Its a cheap and fairly easy fix or you can buy a better boat. My Paradise sails almost as well as my 1 meter rc sailboat in winds up to 8-10 mph.

4paradise sailboat REVIEW  Aug 20, 2011 By amazon
for the $ this is a great boat iv'e seen better rc sailboats but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR remember that. the only reason i rated it 4 stars insted of 5 is because i wish it could tackle rougher water with a little more wind. if you think your sailing counditions will be fairly rough i woud recoumend a bigger more seawerthy boat. but its great four a brizy pond. nice boat..

4A good second boat for small pond.  May 18, 2011 By Peter Mckay "Fresno Pete"
I have owned my Paradise for about 3 years now, it was my second boat to a 1-meter class boat. The bad press about the sails not playing out is an easy fix by swapping out the rigging which you should always do anyway. I use 5 lb extra limp fishing line on the sail servo and 5 lb spider wire for everything else on the masts, total cost was less than $10. This is an EXCELENT slow wind boat but does have problems heeling over in winds above 8 knots, it simply doesn't have the ballast. But it is also a 26" boat, not a 1-meter so don't expect it to behave like one.

1Save your money for something else!  Jan 04, 2011 By Patricia F. Schenk
This boat shouldn't be on the market. PERIOD! One huge disappointment. So if your are looking for a smaller sailboat don't look at this flimsy and poorly engineered sailboat.
It just doens't work. Turns with the slightest breeze into the wind and has no stabililty on the water, in a nutshell it is NOT sailable at all. Save your money for a better boat and get a ProbOat or a Kysoho Fairwind III. We sail those on a regular basis and love themAnd then there is the Quality of the boat. After 1 hour of sailing the jig fell off. And try to get a refund. They sell it and then hide behind their rules. Overall a total bad experince and if Amazon keeps those "twilight" companies on its program I will just stop buying stuff at Amazon.com.
