Caution Dec 17, 2009

Durable is the only thing I can say about this product, but I guess it would have to be, since it you couldn't control it whatsoever. It didn't break, but I suspect something was wrong with it before it got here, or it may have been poorly designed....
If you like waiting 15 minutes to charge it so you can watch it go in circles until it crashes for 5 minutes then charging it again for same results....you might like it. I wasn't pleased with this product.

Gave as Gifts and they were a big dissapointment. Jan 01, 2010

Saw these demonstrated at the local mall and thought they looked fun and a nice gift idea. Found them on Amazon $10 cheaper and ordered. So far, we are 2 for 2 NON-working. I gave 4 as gifts and am waiting to hear if the other 2 are a big disappointment as well. One worked somewhat for two charges and now only flies a few inches off the floor, the other never charged and has never gotten off the ground. Save your money and don't order these duds.

Undepowered Non-flying helicopter Dec 27, 2009
By GreatGranDadflh I have some experience in real helicopters and a lot of experience in U.S. Air Force fighters and trainers. This means that I know how to fly air machines. That is, if they will get off the ground. This little model is underpowered and poorly designed. I added small weights to the nose with the aluminum tabs provided to attempt to get the nose to balance with the tail. This did not help and the upward vector of the blades was enough towards the rear that, had this thing gotten off the ground, it probably would have done loops without stop. The upward vector seemed to drive the tail into the ground and there was no way to correct that.
I received this as a Christmas gift and will return it after working with it for only an extremely frustrating and unproductive 45 minutes. This poor little thing never got more that 0.5mm above the floor in my living room.
Save your money. Go to Hobby Lobby and talk to a human who can give you valid recommendations for a purchase.Cobra R/C 2 Channel Mini Helicopter - Camo (Colors May Vary)
surprisingly fun, affordable, durable, and well performing Feb 09, 2010

Got this helicopter for my three year old son and found it was too hard to fly for him. That was great, because I had more fun flying it than I would have ever thought. After you figure out the trim (read the directions and it takes about a minute) it flies great. Had a great time flying it all over the house. Pay attention to the charging directions: let it cool down after flying before charging. Let it cool after charging before flying. Don't leave it on the charger more than 15 minutes. Is suspect that most of the bad reviews are by owners that did not heed these directions and therefore fried the battery. It looks daintly but it isn't. I crashed it a million times (trying to do stuff like fly it under the coffe table, etc) and it just kept flying. Got dozens of charges out of it but it finally gave up the ghost when my wife shot it out of the air with my son's nerf bow & arrow. Nice shot honey.
Never flew--product blew! Feb 01, 2010
By J. brown It was a gift and would not charge, so therefore....never flew. Was embarrising when I heard that it never worked. Made it look like I gave a cheap gift. The quality was, that's for sure.
