IT WORKS GREAT Dec 29, 2009
By DRE This is a stable and easy to fly helicopter. Great for indoor use,nice size mini. It also has a great look with lights in the front to fly in the dark. Now for the past reviews the remote comes with a battery box, which means you put the batteries in that box then you plug that box to the remote then the remote will work. Now this is not a beginners helicopter even the box states that, it also says 14&up not 4. I don't think there are any 4 yr olds that can fly a 3ch helicopter. If you're a beginner I suggest a 2ch. Again easy to flight but not for beginners.

DON'T BUY IT - BROKE IN 45 MINUTES Dec 26, 2009
By JV

Paid nearly $40.00 for this. Gave to a happy 6-year old, who soon become unhappy. The chopper is a self-destructing machine that broke in 45 minutes.
1) Directions say "for indoor use only". Fair enough -- but then the directions tell you not to use it in a room that has furniture or any other obstructions. I know of no house that has an empty room such as this. When first "getting the feel" of this product, which is hard to do, it often crashes into various things in the room, which I will further explain in the following points;
2) The packaging claims the toy is for ages 4 and up. This is not accurate. As I noted, it takes time to learn how to fly this little toy, which includes many attempts when the chopper will bump off the ceiling, crash into furniture, etc. My six year old (and nine year old and twelve year old, and me, age 50) could not get the chopper under control. It shoots up too quickly, and is very difficult to learn to steer. No doubt, with time and practice, this may be able to be achieved, but the chopper broke when my son was still learning how to fly it -- and in broke after only 45 minutes.
3) The Warranty on the package says the chopper is not covered by any "crash". Yet "crashing" is an unavoidable occurrence when trying to use this difficult-to-navigate, remote control item.
To sum up: don't buy it. It is way too much money for a product that is difficult to operate and will break before you even get the feel of it. If you happen to have a house that has an indoor basketball court in which you can fly the toy without it colliding with anything, then maybe consider purchasing it. For anyone who does not have an indoor gymnasium, DON'T BUY IT!

Cobra R/C 3 Channel Mid Size helicopter-defender Jul 26, 2010
By C. Bank Dont waste your money. My son used it once. It malfunctioned, hit the side of the furniture indoors and broke a part. Not bothering to take it to get it fixed. If it breaks that easily its not cost effective to keep replacing parts.

Not a good experience, not rateable Jan 10, 2010

The instructions did not match the device. Also the copter could only get a few inched off the ground. I called the supplier, they said send to us in Canada and we will fix it. Since I had bought it for my grandson and was going to see him in about a week, I said no and just sent it back. Bought one at a shopping mall that really works well.

Looks great, but doesn't work Dec 28, 2009
By L. Marzo We ordered this as a Christmas present for our 11 year-old nephew. It looked like a lot of fun, and it was all ready to go out of the box. Unfortunately, we inserted new batteries (not included), and the remote control wouldn't work. We even tried different batteries, and it still had no power at all. Bottom line is, don't waste your money on this. Maybe they're not all defective like ours was, but I wouldn't take the chance.
