I bought this Doddle Pro at Toys R Us for Twenty bucks...it also came with a smaller doodle pad for the car which is GREAT for trips. I mention this because I couldn't find a better price anywhere for BOTH the large and travel pads. My son absolutely loves this toy. His Little People Town Center has something similar on the school house (just MUCH smaller) and when I saw how much he enjoyed playing with it, I set out looking for a larger version. I love that this comes with the shape magnets, and the size is perfect, he has a very large drawing area.
The side handles are handy for carrying from place to place, and the cord the pen is attached to is VERY durable! My son actually drags the entire unit around the house by the pen, so the cord isn't prone to snapping, which is nice. The small travel doodle for the car is great thing to have on trips...whether it be a couple miles down the road to the grocery store, or a longer vacation trip, it definitely holds his attention.
My only complaint is the erasing slide can be kinda hard to push across sometimes. At first I thought it was just my son was a bit young to be using it, but no. I myself have had to put a little 'oomph' into sliding it sometimes. And occasionally you have to erase two or three times to get the picture to completely go away...minor complaints really, nothing that would prevent me from purchasing this again. If you're interested in this for your child, I DEFINITELY recommend it, my boy gets tons of use out of it.

My daughter loves drawing with this toy. The magnets are not very useful as the shapes are not crisp. Also, over time, this toy has lost its value. The screen has a spot where it will not write (which proves to be endlessly frustrating for my kids). Also, there are many dark spots on the screen that will not erase.
If I had rated this right when we had gotten it, I would have given it a FIVE. But, it just doesn't hold out very long. :(

I have these for both of my daughters. They absolutely love them. However, this price that they are trying to sell them for on here is rediculous. You can purchase this same toy at Wal-Mart or Toys-R-Us for under $20. I cannot believe Amazon is allowing this kind of price increase on an everyday child's toy. Very disappointed.

This item is great - my daughter loves it. However, another vendor on Amazon offers the version with 2 stampers for 16.99. I ordered this one for 43.99, so that I could have the 4 stampers. I know, ridiculous to pay so much more for 2 pieces of plastic, but that is what I wanted. However, when I got my item it is.... the one with 2 stampers, not the one pictured above. Very disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered. I am attempting to contact Amazing Plush (the Seller) to see if they are going to remedy this.
As for the item, like I said, my 2 year old daughter loves it - it has been very durable thus far and she loves drawing on it.

My wife and I totally forgot about these things until a recent trip to `Babies R Us' reminded us of how much fun and really how educational these things are. So, with a few expertly dropped hints, our daughter wound up with one (thank you Granny) and she absolutely LOVES it. We can't tear her away from it. She draws on this thing all day long, and while her art work is subjective it is wonderful to see her so excited about the images she's created.
She easily uses the board and the shapes and the pen and she can even erase it herself. I will agree with the other poster who said that at times you have to erase it two or three times for the image to completely go away, but it is a small complaint.
What I find so wonderful about this `toy' is that it does help in the learning process. My daughter even calls this `school work' and we have used it to teach her some basic reading.
The shapes are small enough to get stuck in a little one's throat, so please watch your kids. So far my little one hasn't attempted to swallow anything, but the danger is there so we watch her closely. I feel as though I'm repeating the review above me (very nicely written Mercedes) but she's right; that pen chord is really durable (my little girl drags this thing everywhere by that pen) and the handles are easy to use, although it is a bit wide for my daughter (she's dainty).
So yes, I totally recommend this one. I have seen a few complaints about price here. I didn't personally buy this, so I'm not sure how much it costs in the store, but do some shopping and get yourself a deal. This is worth getting though; you're kids will LOVE it.
