VERY durable, well built and great looking. Jun 22, 2009
By RN7676 I am really impressed with these kid headphones. They are kid sized and fit my 3yo . They stay on well and do not fall off of his head. They are adjustable so they should work for older kids too. The wiring and wire connection points are VERY solid looking. The wires are much thicker than any compact headphone set I have ever owned in my life. The entry points where the wires go into the headphones are VERY thick and durable looking. The headphone jack is standard size, but the plug shell and wire entry points into the headphone jack are very thick and solid looking. The whole setup looks very durable without looking too big or clumsy. There is a little grey box (about the size of a matchbox) in the headphone line that limits the max volume. There are no controls on the box, it just limits the max volume. I was a bit worried how that would work, but I'm very satisfied with it. If I turn my mp3 player to maximum volume, the headphone volume is limited to a kid friendly level. It is a bit distorted at max level (that may be my mp3 player) but sounds fine and un-distorted at a normal volume. The cord is a short 42" from earpieces to jack. It's perfect for handheld devices, or plugged into a computer at a desk. It's probably not long enough to connect to an in-car system. You could buy a headphone extension cord I suppose. Overall, I'd say this is an excellent product.

Sound is too restricted. Aug 05, 2009

We had to return these headphones. The idea behind them is good, but the source item had to be turned up to blasting volume to be able to hear it at all on the headphones. We definitely could not use them in a car or any other area that had background noise. The seemed well made, but the heavy regulator box is too far up the cord towards the child's head - it would be more comfortable for it to be lower down the cord. We were disappointed.

Fisher Price Headphones Dec 08, 2009
By Mary L. Piper This item arrived quickly. It was purchased for a little boy just under three years old. We hoped to help him get through a long plane ride. The headphones are small enough for a toddler and work just fine. He fidgeted with them a bit, but settled in to his video. I had tried a different brand that was supposed to be for children but they were too big. I would recommend the Fisher Price headphones as being ideal for young children.

Fisher Price Children's Headphones Oct 14, 2009
By V Webster I finally found these Fisher Price headphones after having bought other headphones that were supposedly made for children, but were far too big. These are extremely durable; they get squashed into bags and dropped frequently. My favorite feature is that there is a built in maximum volume so the children aren't destroying their ears. These headphones also work in the airplane headphone jacks, which was a great discovery. They come in blue and pink; we have as set of each.

Cord should be longer Sep 29, 2009
By B. Schwering I have another pair of Fisher Price Kids Tough Headphones that I use in my SUV for my son to watch movies through the in car DVD player. I thought that these would be the same only a different color, but they are not. The cord is at least 2 ft shorter. It is stretched taut when he sits by the door to reach the ceiling jack in the middle. Additionally, the noise controlling feature makes it too soft, because he cannot hear it if it happens to be raining outside. Spend your money on the pair that is included in the package for their portable DVD player. It's a much better product.
