Took to the beach last week. Very pleased with scoop. It's heavy-duty and not too heavy to carry. Just scoop where your detector locates the object - scan the area again, and if you don't detect anything, you have the object in the scooper. Shake out the sand, and your object is in the bottom. Highly recommend. Not as clumsey to carry as one with a long handle, and I don't have issues bending over anyway.

I feel who ever put this in toy lists is not in touch with serious metal detecting..anyway ..this is a strong well made sand scoop that will last..you don't need stainless steel

I always see people making homemade scoopers trying to save a few bucks.
C'mon, who are you kidding. This professional scooper rocks. The immense amount of strainer surface allows sand and dirt to flow right through and save you lots of time sifting.
By the way that gold color is actually a coating over the metal and not the metal itself.

This is one of the best products I have ever purchased. It is very durable and better than my expectations. I strongly recommend it for anyone who does any digging in the sand on the beach. I have used it lots already and it stands up to rugged use. The solid construction is awesome - the shape is great and it digs well. I even bought a second one in case I cannot find it again. While I was using it on the beach so many people stopped and commented on how great it worked. You will not regret this purchase.
