5Very surprizing  Mar 14, 2011 By jon
I bought this plane to learn how to fly. I have a larger piper cub, but its wooden and I know Id be devastated if I wrecked it. So I bought this one, not expecting much. The landing gear is really flimsy. The propellers are really flimsy (broke on first crash). The interior structure that holds the servos and battery are really flimsy and break easily.

However, I swapped the prop to a fiberglass one that was about the same size and pitch. This is a great little flyer. It doesnt like high winds, and like i said the internals are flimsy, but it took about 4 nose dives to break the interior plastic. The body is foam and really durable. I even hit a swingset with it and it was fine except for some dents. A little packing tape and it was fine.

I can do loops with it and just generally have a great time flying it. Landing is quite easy, on pavement. Dont try grass unless your on a golf course. It will nose over, but no harm will happen.

Battery takes about an hour to charge and around 10-15 minutes to deplete it running around 3/4 throttle. Ill have to get another battery, cause its so fun.

Best time to fly is right after sunset, so theres enough light, but no wind, and no sun to blind you.
