Don't buy! Nov 18, 2009
By mikefrancine We bought this as our four-year old's first clock - thought it would be perfect since he and his brother love all things Lego. But then we plugged it in. The back-light on the numbers was so bright he couldn't sleep, even on the low-light setting. It lit up his whole room. And after just one day, the switch to turn the back-light on or off broke. You can't see the time when the radio is on - it only displays the radio station until you turn the radio off. It claims to be a digital turner, however we had to tune everything a few tenths away from the actual station number in order to get a decent signal. (For instance, to get the station on 101.1, you had to tune to 101.5.) Needless to say, we returned it and do not recommend anyone buy it!

For the lego lover! Feb 13, 2010

Bought 2 at Christmas for our 2 Lego obsessed children. True, the "low" setting is a bit brighter than some would like but the kids don't mind and love to have their own clocks. They tell everyone it is their "favorite" Christmas gift so it was a big hit. So far no problems with durability after 2 months of use. I'd purchase it again. I thought it was strange that a reviewer complained the clock was made of plastic - LEGOS are not made of metal or wood, they are made out of PLASTIC.

Cool Clock Feb 08, 2010
By Marie Ruppel This is a really cool clock that looks like a giant Lego. The nobs on the top are acutally functional (I didn't know this when I bought it). One is the radio tuner and the other is the snooze button. My son really likes his clock. It has a radio also and he listens to music while he falls asleep which is something he never did before getting this clock for Christmas. It seems durable and works great. We are happy with it.

Just for looks and not functionality Dec 30, 2009

My son loves this alarm clock. It is, however, an awful radio. You cannot get a good station without a ton of static. I did everything I could to get it to work ok, and it won't. But, my son loves it anyway. It's mostly decorative. He likes the bright light as it's a sort of night-light for him. Overall, I'd say, "Meh."

Legomaniacs love it Nov 07, 2011

Our son got one of these super Lego clock radios for his birthday. His younger cousin is also a fan, so we got him one for HIS birthday. The highlights ? It is a GIANT Lego brick with a built in clock radio. It also stacks just like the real thing if you are luck enough to own the Lego brick CD player. The downside ? it can be a little hard to read in the middle of the night. But all in all, our kiddo loves this thing. Recommended, especially when going hand in hand with the companion CD player !
