Space Needle is a small fun LEGO set Jun 23, 2010
By B. J. Murphy not much to this LEGO set, it stands about 9" tall constructed and doesn't contain many pieces; easy to put together, fun to sit on a desk but nothing significant

Lego space needle Jan 18, 2011
By Jay Barone This is a nice little toy and I like the small bit of history with this toy. This was for my 11yo. I think the toy should have more detail and should be larger.
I did not think it was a great value. Dad

Not an acceptable representation of the original. Apr 15, 2010
By John Pastier This odd little ugly duckling bears very little resemblance to the real thing. Its form, proportions, details, and structural system are all wrong.
I have 12 different Space Needle souvenir models in my collection, and the least accurate one (a cigarette lighter, of all things) is far more faithful to the original than this misguided travesty. For less money, one can buy a beautiful plywood model kit that's more than twice the size, and has far more detail and fidelity to the original.
How could a major, well-funded company miss the boat so completely, especially in a special series meant to celebrate architectural values?
By misrepresenting the Space Needle's appearance and spirit so badly, Lego has produced an anti-educational product. Why was no architectural or engineering expertise applied to this model?
