Cute but overpriced Sep 07, 2009
By Jeremy Epstein I'm a major league Frank Lloyd Wright fan, as well as a Lego lover. But I was disappointed by this product - it's rather pricey, and the item is quite small (as a reviewer on another site mentioned, it's about the size of a US dollar bill, and about four inches tall.
The FLW Fallingwater model was much more interesting, and although more expensive is larger, more fun to assemble, and more true to the architecture of the place. Also, the Fallingwater model has a nice book that gives lots of details about the construction, while the Guggenheim model book has minimal information about the museum.

Nice Change of Pace for Legos Apr 05, 2010
By Trish Dulka I bought this for my 10-year-old son who's Lego crazy. Although it was a very simple project for him (It took about 10 minutes), at least it was something different from a Star Wars spaceship. The finished product is a nice keepsake with a nameplate, but it is surprisingly small (not even four inches tall) so it seems like a lot of money for something so small and easy to assemble, but it is one that will remain on display in my son's room. If you like Frank Lloyd Wright it is a cool change of pace as far as toys go.

Smaller than I thought! Feb 08, 2010

"Welcome to You're DOOM"
This is a great set and I love that it is a really good representation of the actual architecture. My only complaint (and I realize I could have figured this out pre-purchase had I carefully read the measurements) is that it is TINY! When spending $50+ on a Lego set I had a certain size in mind for the finished product and it is about a third of the size I had in mind. So it's a bit expensive for what you get, but still a good set.

The one thing a model ought to do, whether for child or adult Oct 30, 2010

"Constant Reader,"
is look realistic. The LEGO people seem quite adept at circles, but not eccentric circles that veer off of the rudiments of plane geometry. Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum on Fifth Avenue in New York City is a spiral; that was and is a large part of the building's distinctiveness and controversy. Care to verify? There are plenty of pix and a couple of top-notch drawings online. What LEGO has given us looks like a neatly arranged stack of dishes instead. Not realistic at all, nor worth the money IMHO.

Small, But Lovely. Jan 21, 2012
By Greg Yes, it is small. But if you read the description on the page, you will know how small it is before purchasing it. This was given to me this past Christmas since I love the entire Lego Architecture line and plan on getting all 12. This is my third one, the other two being Fallingwater and the Brandenburg Gate. It was easy putting together, though I once again had a couple tiny pieces left over (seriously, I check and double check when making these and have to assume there are extra pieces). Depending on what you want this for, it is worth the price. As I grew up in NYC, this is a nice little piece I can put on my desk or on the windowsill and just be reminded of the beauty of FLW's work. Seeing it on my windowsill as the snow falls outside just makes me smile.
Buy it if you love the work of FLW. Buy it if you like architecture.
