I gave this stable to my 3 yr old granddaughter. As soon as she opened it
her 9 yr old brother started building it according to the directions. After he was finished, her 6 yr old sister played with her. When they both left, she dismantled the legos and put them together in free form style and thoroughly enjoyed creating new objects. It was a big hit for all of the kids regardless of their age!

Bought set for 5yr girl. Great girl set, we already have the pink brick boxed set but needed some more girl legos. It is about $25 cheaper on the Lego site, free shipping, and used ebates for another 3-6% cash back.

This is a great set for girls who like Legos. My daughter is almost 8 and really likes horses so this was a great set for her. I was a little disappointed that there were not that many pieces compared to the price. Other than that it was great.

My daughter got this yesterday for her 5th birthday and she wanted to put it together right away. So we spent about 2 hours this morning putting the whole thing together. Probably wouldn't take others this long, as we spent some time trying to find distractions for her 2 yr old sister who loves to destroy things. :) We had a great time doing this together and I will be looking for similar sets for Christmas.
Also, for those considering this set for kids under 3, I would stay away. There are quite a few little pieces...and not just lego pieces. The stable has tiny flowers, and the horses have tiny bows, a tiny brush, and even tiny carrots and apples. Not only are they easy to loose, but they could easily be ingested.
Oh, and I agree with another reviewer. The $50 price is high. Even TRU is cheaper.

I purchased this for my 10 year old daughter's birthday. Finally LEGOS for GIRLS!!!! She has always had to watch in awe as her younger brother made cool creations - always targeting the "boy" audience. We were so excited to see that there is finally something for girls. Not to mention that my daughter is a Horse lover, this set was perfect! She put it together immediately and loved the bright colors. While it is not as intricate or detailed as some of the standard Lego collections (again that target BOYS) it was still alot of fun and she continues to play with it and add in things from other sets to expand it.
