Great build Oct 18, 2010
By Michael Frank One of the best kits so far. I purchased this after building the Tower Bridge. I found this one more enjoyable as it didn't have as much repetition as the bridge. Highly recommended, lots of new building techniques and fun new pieces.

Beauty Apr 03, 2010
By Vanessa Ek My son and I spent 4 days building this. We took our time. He is 6yrs. old and loved the little details on the inside of each floor. The building is beautiful. The detailing is fantastic. We build allot of Lego and this is in my top 3 favorites. My 6yr old built the truck easily and loved building all the neat things inside(ping pong table, couch, fridge etc).
Thanks V

Lego Fire Brigade Great for Lego Lovers Jul 09, 2010
By KathyZ My 9-yr-old son loves Lego models. We wanted to get him a real challenge for the summer, so we got him this one even though they recommend it for ages 16+. He was able to build it by himself in two days - after about 5 hours of sorting and organizing the pieces first. (We had hoped it would take longer!). He said the instruction booklets were hard but he was able to get through them himself. The set was missing a few pieces - and luckily we have a big bin of extra pieces that helped us out. Overall, it was a great project and he loved the final result. He highly recommends this model for all real Lego lovers out there.

Missing Parts Dec 01, 2011
By TheRoadNinja Upon reaching the 3rd page of the first instruction booklet, I spent nearly an hour searching for small dark gray plates that were not there. I gave up and found reports of boxes in lot 39R1 missing an entire bag on the internet. Both of the boxes I bought say "39R1" on the tape that holds the box shut.
I don't know if I am missing the entire bag but there are definitely a lot of pieces missing.
Looks like a great set though.

Beautiful Lego Building Apr 03, 2011
By Corwin12 If you like awe inspiring Lego buildings, you will enjoy this one very much. It takes a lot more time to build than most Lego buildings, but if you are like me, you will not want to stop building until it is complete.
The 2D pictures do not do this building justice. It is a large building with a lot of details, which will make it one of the centerpieces of your Lego collection.
The bricks are separated into bags numbered 1 and 2. Bags 1 build the truck, the mini figures, and the first floor of the station. Bags 2 build the second floor and roof of the fire station. I use the food storage size Rubbermaid (or equivalent) containers when I build. I find it easier to separate the bricks by color and size. With as many pieces as this set has, you will definitely want to organize the bricks in some manner before you start building, otherwise there is an increased chance you will become frustrated searching for that one small piece. Another great thing about using the containers .... if you need to take a break from building, you can put the covers on and reduce the chance of them getting knocked over.
This is definitely worth the MSRP of $150.00. I am not disappointed at all that I bought it. I am disappointed I waited so long to catch the Lego bug and missed out on the modular buildings that came before this one, which are now priced out of my budget.
Happy building!
