5comes with two trains  Sep 17, 2010 By Amy B "of two"
Comes with two locomotives, four cargo cars, one cow, one horse, two engineers, one passenger with a suitcase, blocks for trees, blocks for station (clock block), five fences, one train crossing and one bridge

We got this for our son (just turned 3) thinking it would be another way for him to put tracks together on his own and boy were we right. It even comes with lego's famous blue prints for making many different track configurations. The blue print is his favorite part. I was happy to see that it does come with the two trains in the picture so if friends come over sharing will be easier. This is a PUSH train so all train sounds come from your child's mouth. The track system is rather large (too big for a train table in most of the diagramed track configurations) and our son is still figuring out how to get from one side of the track to the other without "breaking the track". It does seem that it is the same track as the battery powered train so they could be used together.

5Awesome! Amazing!  Jan 04, 2010 By Dave Larkin
This was easier to find than Thomas duplo train sets and was much better value too. There are well over 100 pieces, lots of track, trains, blocks and special pieces to build towns and play out stories with. It's fully compatible with Duplo Thomas trains.

This is part of the Educational line of Duplo sets - Always well developed sets with lognevity and educational play in mind.

5More pieces than I expected  Mar 28, 2011 By Pingmeister
This is a surprisingly large set.

While, as in any Duplo set, the standard blocks don't allow for very good "modeling" the amount of track and train pieces make for some very large, complex track layouts.

My two year old daughter loves when I set up alternate paths for the trains So she gets to decide what the trains get to "visit".

We have a weekly game of setting up this track and both my daughter and I are still having a great time, a month after purchase.

5Tons of options for hours of play  Feb 21, 2011 By fractalfoot
This is a great toy. My husband and 23 month old son have spent hours with it, not only configuring the tracks in various loops the traditional way, but also building "ramps" out of the tracks for racing the cars down. Almost every evening an elaborate new construction emerges, only to be deconstructed and put back into the included sturdy plastic bin. You can connect the tracks together using the duplo 8's, which makes it possible to tilt the tracks to make ramps and change the height of the tracks. Then you can compare heavily loaded cars and light cars, various designs... all sorts of physics experiments, and a version of the pine-wood derby in your own living room. My 5 month old daughter loves to watch, and as she got one of the two trains in her stocking at Christmas, is looking forward to getting bigger so she can play too. For now, she happily holds pieces in her hands and inspects them during the building sessions. The push trains can also be connected side by side to make fabulous moving towers, movie shooting rigs, etc. Our set was missing a piece (the cross track X pieces) but I went on the Lego site, clicked on the picture of the missing part, and it was quickly mailed to us. Make sure to consider getting extra track pieces too... especially rounded ones, as nothing's more frustrating than to come up with a cool track design and not be able to complete it.
