This is priced right Oct 15, 2010
By M. Heiss This is an easy-to-build set, but very durable. 1 trap door and 1 trick balcony make playing fun. Genius LEGO designers made the staircase all 1 piece.
My soon-to-be-6-year-old son assembled this by himself; this is his first "solo" LEGO set (he has a lot of LEGO experience working with the rest of the family). He keeps saying, "This is so cool. I love my Prince of Persia lego set"... After little brother got this all built, he had a lot of big-brother-attention, wanting to play with it, too.
I think the greatest aspects are the archways and dome -- they give the set a distinctive look. It is very easy to move this set from the building surface (our kitchen table) to the playing surface (generally the floor) -- it is stable when you move it.
Minifigs: 1 princess, 1 good guy, 1 bad guy, 1 market guy, 1 camel
Good set. We paid about what amazon is asking, we got it at a big box retailer for 20+5 dollars.

Fun set with a few minor bad designs Apr 21, 2010
By SM-NM Catboy LEGO is an awesome toy overall. Almost everything is excellent, so I list here just the bad points (but this toy is still definitely a buy!):
1. The camel looks a bit "cheap".
2. Princess Tamina's hairpiece is hard to put on straight while the cape is also on.
3. The door trap isn't 100% level.

A very cute set, and a surprising novelty. Nov 30, 2010
By Gerard Wong I didn't know what to expect from the Prince of Persia sets, but I wanted a Lego set that was different from the usual Star Wars I often get. I chose this because the set contained most of the essential elements of the movie, including the two main characters (Prince Dastan and Princess Tamina) as well as the Dagger of Time for an affordable price. The construction should prove no problem for most children, but it would certainly stimulate their cognitive skills.
Remarkably, this set is loads of fun. There are a few features in the structure itself, such as a trap door and a collapsing balcony. However I think what makes the set really fun is all the extra items that come with it. You get a very nice ride-able camel, some market stands, a wagon, two crates (and a harness for the camel to carry them with), two knives, some jewels, a whip, and a lot of food items (such as fish, apples, cherries and even a chicken drumstick!). A lot of the items, due to their nature as construction bricks, can be refashioned into many other things. Also, the minifigures included in this set are all excellent, with remarkable detailing. I'm sure many kids would have fun with Dastan's dual swords or the soldier Ahsoka's spear and cool-looking armor.
This set reminded me of why Lego was always so much fun, in that it allows your imagination to spring wild without in-your-face gimmicks such as electronics or intrusive mechanical moving parts all too common in modern toys. A lot of the play value comes from playing around with the various custom parts and seeing what you can come up with. It's rather similar to the toys played a long time ago, which all required a lot of creativity and imagination. As such, I think any child will definitely benefit from this very intuitively designed set as it would foster creativity and innovation in a fun way.

Great lego set, for a great price!!! Jan 16, 2011
By bargainshopper Even though we have never seen the movie, my son loves legos and this was such a great price I had to buy it. He enjoyed putting it together, and he was actually able to do it by himself, unlike some of the other lego sets with less pieces that we have purchased.
