Impressive model, but fragile Dec 31, 2008
By C. Gemmill This model looks quite impressive when it is constructed. It was about 18-24" high. I think 14+ is a little conservative - it is probably okay for 9 and up, although it will require a day or two to assemble. There are many movable parts on it. This makes it challenging to keep from breaking off one piece when you attempt to add another, but that's part of doing Legos. One problem is that the top base connection to the smooth bottom base is not as strong as it needs to be. This leads to the model not being firmly connected, and easy to topple. After the two bases separated, our General unfortunately did a nose-dive off the shelf and broke into several pieces. I guess we get to put it together again now!

AWESOME Jan 28, 2009
By JetsFanMT I bought this for Christmas and put it together with my daughters. It was our first Lego project and we had a lot of fun putting it together. After we completed it, it seemed pretty unsteady but we checked the base and some pieces were not linked tightly. We put those pieces together again and then the model was fine. It's size is impressive and we now have it displayed on our computer desk!

Excellent LEGO set and Hes a hint how to keep him standing! Oct 12, 2009
By Toy Mogel This is a Large very impressive set. It is fun to assembly and is very realistic to the character considering it is a Lego. It teaches cognitive thinking skills as well as hand to eye coordination, reading, following instructions and concentration all while having fun! To "FIX" the standing issue, Just get an inexpensive doll stand and put the bottom of the stand UNDER the LEGO stand then brace the general at his waist with the top of the doll stand. Problem solved!
Lego General Grievous Jan 07, 2012
By JbBaby My son is almost 10 years old, but he very much enjoyed the challenge of this kit that is designed for older children. The difference between the kits for younger and older kids essentially boils down to smaller and more pieces, hence, it takes longer to complete. That said, he had no problems putting it together. He also enjoyed the fact that the kit is "hard to find" in his estimation (though I'm not sure if that is actually the case or not). The one downside is that once complete, the finished product is pretty delicate and could be easily demolished with the glancing blow of a wayward elbow, etc. All in all, very satisfied with this purchase.
An impressive Lego set but it is a little fragile Nov 22, 2010
By Justamom My 9 year old son put this together by himself and he keeps it on display in his room. Although it is a little flimsy with the arms sticking out, it has not fallen apart. It looks great with his collection. The Walking AT-AT is his favorite and General Grievous comes in second!
If you want to buy this for Christmas, you'd better do it now. It goes out of stock and gets resold on ebay as it gets closer to Christmas.
