1Cheap Plastic  Jan 26, 2012 By Nephtis
This product worked well for the first few cuts but then the saw began cutting into the sides of the guide slots as it is made from relatively soft plastic. Now it is impossible to make a straight cuts as the guide slots have been widened and angled by the saw biting into them. I have much experience with hobby crafting so this is not a result of misuse. I have since ordered a aluminum miter box. The one positive aspect of this product is the added angle (30 degrees?) in addition to the standard 90 and 45 degree guides but this is not enough to redeem this product. If you plan on using it for more than a few cuts invest in a metal miter box.

5Good for hobbyists  Mar 14, 2012 By Ava Arechavala "Lady Dragon Humboldt"
Very nice little gadget. I often need to cut doweling for different projects and this keeps it stable. I can also cut trim to make unique frames. It has the nice feature of being able to be braced against the table edge to keep it steady with the lower lip, no tools needed, quick to set up, quick to use.

3OK, I guess.  May 20, 2012 By B. Cooper
I didn't spend a lot for this, so I guess I'm getting what I paid for. I wish I had saved my money and put it toward a metal one though. As far as function, it works. I just don't see it lasting very long or staying accurate. It is supposed to be held against the edge of a table when you use it by a lip in the front. Mine wouldn't lay flat because of 2 blobs of plastic from the manufacturing process. I was able to easily saw these off with the included hand saw. It now lies flat, but I'm worried the plastic will get distorted with normal use. I will probably use it to draw lines and score the wood and make the actual cuts without it.

3Good, but not great.  Nov 18, 2011 By Kate Stokes
When sawing at non-extreme angles, the box works well. When you start getting too far off center, however, the saw gets wedged against the plastic from the force of the sawing and gets stuck. The included saw is actually quite nice, however, and with most light woods such as Balsa you can use the box to make a slight line on top of the wood and then you can just continue the cut by hand without the box. This has worked for me on the extreme angle cutting. This package is not expensive so I am basically happy with the purchase but not thrilled.

4Works pretty good.  Oct 05, 2011 By MsFancyPantz "MsFanctPantz"
I bought this to cut wood and plastic dowels for making wedding cakes. Pretty happy with it although you need some strength in your hands to hold everything in place since the box and probably whatever you are cutting has no weight.
