4Liked this blimp  Jan 09, 2010
Liked this blimp a lot. I bought this for my nephew and he really liked this blimp. He was not able to blow it up, because he was just visiting me at my home on Christmas. There was nothing in the box to blow it up with either. I thought there would have been something to blow it up with. Overall he still liked it. He was so surprised. I am so glad amazon carries everything. Because he actually asked for this for Christmas.

make sure to follow directions and never take outside and remember you have to buy helium for the blimp but a fun product.

2Doesn't work at high altitude/in desert  Aug 30, 2008
We had problems with this toy after 1 day. If it is not completely filled with helium it doesn't have enough buoyancy to raise itself up. This may be due to the fact that we live at 4200 feet and in the desert (20% humidity). But since we aren't going to go to the store every day to refill it, it's not very practical. We actually bought 2 of these because on the first day, the front and back doors happened to be opened simultaneously, and a gush of air pushed it right out the back door and it floated away too quickly to retrieve it.

Great fun. Simple to use. The kids (5 and 6) were mesmersied by it, and loved it.

3Blimp at altitude  Oct 10, 2007
Blimp seemed ok, but did not come with helium (understandable) or two
sided tape (inexcusable), and hard to find battery (a real negative).
so one had to go out and buy both.
Then there is a big problem.....blimp does not lift off adequately at higher altitudes (like Denver, 5000ft+) at all.
Turns out even the real one does not go there.
So in Denver, the present for the 8 year old turned out to be a science lesson rather than a toy.
Should say this when buying and also make clear what batteries are needed. An interesting downer.
