4Mostly plastic  Oct 24, 2011 By Michelle Potts
I was a little disappointed that this item is mostly plastic. You pay more for items from the Wooden Railway collection and I'm finding more and more of these characters are getting plastic add-ons. His body is wooden but the rest is plastic. And the little block that comes with it...cute idea but his crane is not sturdy enough to hold the actual wooden cargo blocks that come with the train sets which is very frustrating for my son because the little block that comes with Kevin gets lost among the others and so when he grabs a wooden block instead it does not work.

Overall my son's loves it, as he does all of his Thomas items. But Mom was a little upset to pay a high price for a wooden toy that doesn't live up to the reputation that LC Wooden Railway items have.

4Kevin!  Mar 31, 2011 By L. Mastrigt
Just received this today, so can't attest to it's durability.. My son preferred this train over all other Thomas trains at the store. We often go to stores that have train tables and he kept "stealing" this one from other kids and crying when we leave and had to leave it behind, so ofcourse had to buy it :-) Found it on Amazon about $7 cheaper than other places. He LOVES this train!! took it to bed with him tonight. I don't know how long the block will last before it's lost. But he doesn't care! The crane doesn't stay up very well though, and with it up he won't fit under the train bridge, which is frustrating for my son.

5My 3 yr old nephew loves it!  Oct 26, 2010 By M.Halsted
I purchased this for my 3 yr old nephew back in May. He hasn't lost the sodor piece yet. That means he loves it and doesn't want to miss place it. I do have to keep an eye on his 1 yr old sister to make sure she doesn't put it in her mouth. So far so good!

5Kevin  Jan 09, 2011 By Tobias
This little train car has offered my 2 yr old grandson many hours of entertainment. It appears to be well made and is easy for his small hands to handle. Definitely worth the money!

5Kevin with the slippy hook is a Fav in our house!  Sep 27, 2010 By lleessaa08
Kevin is one of my son's favorites and has remained so for many weeks. The product is constructed well and it gets well abused as do all things for my 2 yr old.
