4More difficult than the original  Jan 22, 2010 By E. Madewell
This game features many of the favorite Toy Story characters such as Buzz, Woody and Zurg, and also lesser-known characters such as Bo-Peep and the Prospector. The overall concept and quality of this game is the same as the original memory game: cardboard cards with printed pictures are matched up in turn. What's different about this game is the complexity of the pictures. Many of the cards do not fit into simple categories such as "ball" or "train." There are pictures of Buzz, Woody, Buzz and Woody flying, Buzz and Woody running, Buzz and Woody standing together, Woody and Jessie standing together, Woody and Jessie with Bullseye standing together, Bullseye standing, Bullseye lying down, etc. The complexity of the pictures makes this game more difficult than the original. It's not enough to remember that there's a "Woody" card here and a "Woody" card there, because they may not match at all. After playing the original Memory game for countless hours, my son was significantly more challenged by this version. In fact, we were still playing this version long after the original Memory game became a "little kids toy."
Because of this, I was surprised to see that the recommended age for this toy is 3+ years. Of course, one could always start with a smaller set of cards for a younger child, but as the grid grows, the difficulties presented above would inevitably develop. This toy is suitable for any Toy Story fan, but I would especially recommend it for children of 5-6+ years.

4We love it!  Dec 27, 2010 By adlovegrove
My (soon to be) 3 year old loves this game and has no problem finding the matches even though there are a lot of the same character. We play together so I don't see any wear in the cards yet, but if the cards aren't put away properly I'm sure they would get ruined pretty quickly.

1Never has a classic game been ruined this much  Sep 26, 2010 By cardplayer
What a stupid idea. First of all, the cards are very cheap and flimsy. But worst of all, this destroys the classic game. I have nothing against changing things up -- but the game is ruined when Woody, for instance, appears in 75% of the cards. Sometimes he is with the dinosaur, sometimes with the pig, etc. Each picture has a match but the game is harder (and less fun) without the full distinction of characters. This was a really bad idea. But the original game only.

5Educational Fun for the Toy Story Fan  Jul 27, 2010 By James Michael
Great memory-builder game for ages 5 and up who love the world of Toy Story. With 72 cards, it's a challenging match game even for adults, and with characters recurring with variations, this memory game keeps everyone engaged. A fun family game.

3A tough version of Memory  Jul 20, 2010 By Nora A. Christman "nonajean"
Of course the game Memory is a classic - but this version is hard. All the cards are white with portraits of the characters in different positions and combinations. I tried to play with my just-turned-five year old, and we quit after about ten minutes... all the cards look the same! We also have the Wow Wow Wubbzy version of Memory, and that one is a bit easier to play, as the backgrounds are different colors too.

We tried again with just 16 cards, and that was more fun. Maybe next time we'll do 24 :)
