As was stated, this boat comes COMPLETE-less the batteries, of course. You have to put on the decals (or not). If you're incredibly anal, use a razor knife as suggested in the directions. Otherwise, look at the box pics and give it your best shot! I opted for the water cool option for both motors through my local hobby shop. Not terribly complicated to install, but does take some time. I ran the boat flat out with the water cool motor kit installed and the motors were cool enough to touch when the batteries ran down. I know from experience that RC motors and capacitors/electronic speed controllers get so hot normally, they can burn flesh off your fingers; not with this set-up and the motors will last much longer. My boat did porpoise some on the lake as it was set-up from the factory, but it was fairly windy that day. I opted not to change the setting until I try it on a calmer day. My next option will be bronze props and the appropriate kit to use them-you get more speed that way, but understand this boat screams from factory! Very easy at first to oversteer and stall the boat, yet it doesn't fill with water or flip upside down. I'm convinced that this is the closest to an out-of-the-box, electric screamer you can get.
